Clochfaen self-catering Holiday Cottages

Clochfaen Cottages, comprising two Grade II listed semi-detached cottages, North cottage and South cottage, stand in an elevated yet secluded position 250 yards to the south west of The Clochfaen main house, in the grounds of the Estate. The cottages have commanding views over the Wye valley, Llangurig and Voel Curig mountain. A fine location for holidays in Winter and Summer.

The Cottages were constructed in 1912 of local stone and in the Arts and Crafts style. North cottage and South cottage each have pedestrian access from the stable yard via a steep path leading to front doors at first floor level on the west side of the cottages.

Both cottages have sky television and dvd players, are tastefully furnished and decorated, having modern kitchens with dishwashers and washing machines, modern bathrooms, and are heated by an "eco- friendly" wood pellet burning central heating system, which uses carbon neutral fuel.

North cottage has three bedrooms (two double rooms and one single bedroom) a shower room, wash room, sitting room and kitchen dining room.

South cottage has two bedrooms (one double room and a bedroom with two single beds) a bath room, wash room, sitting room, dining room and kitchen.

North cottage and South cottage have an interconnecting door at bedroom level and can be used together as a single accommodation unit for larger groups.

Cottage prices are as follows:

	Low season up to 1st April.	High season up to 1st October.
Price per person per night:	£27.00 per night.	£30.00 per night.
Price per week for north Cottage:	£350 per week.	£450 per week.
Price per week for south Cottage:	£325 per week.	£425 per week
Price per week for both Cottages:	£650 per week.	£850 per week

Arrival after 15.00pm Saturday to Departure by 10.30am following Saturday.

North cottage sleeps up to five persons. South cottage sleeps up to four persons.

Christmas week and New Year week are charged at High season prices.

Total occupancy 9 persons (South cottage 4 persons: North cottage 5 persons).

Hire charges include bed linen, electricity and heating. Lettings are subject to terms and conditions posted on this website. Prices for the cottages are not subject to VAT.

A well behaved dog may be permitted but must be kept under control at all times owing to the presence of sheep around our cottages. The Country Code must be followed.

Clochfaen cottages are ideally located for attractions in Mid Wales, with the Elan Valley Lakes and Rhayader to the south, Devil's Bridge and Falls, Aberystwyth and the Cambrian coast 25 miles to the west.

Please note that, by reason of the hillside location of the cottages and steep pedestrian access from the stable yard to the front doors at rear first floor level, they are not readily accessible to the physically disabled.

Guests at Clochfaen cottages may have the opportunity to use four miles of private fly fishing on the river Wye and rough shooting in season by written permission from the owners, the Clochfaen Partnership. For further details of sporting and fishing please return to the home page.
